Project Delivery: hold the interfaces togetherAries Building Systems

Moving a modular building order from drawings to site involves several responsible parties. Procurement coordination keeps the design freeze, supplier release, packaging and installation interfaces connected through a reviewable record. A forecast becomes a commitment only when the relevant party confirms it in writing.

Project Delivery: hold the interfaces together procurement planning scene

A change travels beyond the drawing

Consider an illustrative multi-module office brief with revised corridor doors. The buyer records the change before order release; supplier quotations are then checked for door schedules, partitions, MEP routing and packing effects. The intended outcome is a reconciled scope register, not a claimed cost saving or a completed client case.

Freeze the interfaces before releasing the package.

A welded frame may arrive with more supplier assembly completed, but transport volume and repair access can be restrictive. A bolted knock-down frame can use shipping space differently, while connection tolerances, torque checks and installer competence become more prominent. Compare both routes against the available crane, weather window and supervision plan.

Design freeze is a recorded approval point, not a ban on later changes. Every accepted revision needs an owner, a date and an explanation of the commercial or technical consequences. Work already released by a supplier may require a separate variation.

Release gates to agree

Drawing and load gate

Request module dimensions in mm, floor loads, wind load, snow load and seismic design category with code editions and calculation references. For example, 6055 × 2435 × 2896 mm may be entered as an illustrative comparison size only; supplier drawings and destination constraints govern the order.

Inspection and material gate

Agree identification, sampling scope, dimensional checks and hold points before inspection. Request steel grade and coating evidence, wall-panel build-up and system-level fire test reports. ISO 9001 does not establish structural or fire compliance. Inaccessible concealed work can limit what an end-of-line visit verifies.

Packing and installation gate

Reconcile the container loading plan with the packing list, lifting point markings and receiving sequence. Compare shipping mass and dimensions with route limits. Request MEP preinstallation test records and installer instructions; site connections, foundations and permits need responsible local parties.

The handover record follows the order

Gallery images are planned illustrations, not proof of completed work. The deliverable evidence is the actual signed drawing register, inspection findings, corrective-action closure and shipment documentation supplied for your order. Missing records remain listed as open items rather than being replaced by a generic assurance.

Plan the next approval point

Share the current drawing revision, target date and unresolved delivery interfaces. We can coordinate supplier responses, sample requests, inspection arrangements and export documentation, with the final scope agreed before work proceeds.

Send drawings or document references in your brief; attachment exchange can be arranged after contact. Read our Privacy Policy before submitting.
